City Goes on Alert for Debris Flow 1/20 - 1/22/09 (Posted chronologically, beginning at the bottom) 1/22/09 - City Downgrades to Green Flag Alert Status, Received 4:54pm, posted 5:05pm The City of Sierra Madre has downgraded to a Green Flag Mud Alert for Sierra Madre residences in potential mud flow areas. There is still a 80% change of rain through this evening and residents are encouraged remain diligent. City officials and staff would like to thank the residents for their continued preparations and cooperation during this mud threat. A Phase 1 indicates that small isolated debris and mudflows are possible at specific locations. Streets may be flooded or blocked by debris. Reports of debris on private property may be received.
