The Sierra Madre Surf Club will begin soon to again meet regularly for beach trips, and raises money to benefit community organizations. Check back here and we'll let you know the destination and date of the next road trip. The club dues are $20.00 per year (this can include two people in the same family). Renewals are due in June and are not pro-rated. What you get in return is: a subscription to our newsletter that keeps you up to date on club events, two membership stickers (that are unique to members only), discounted prices on T-shirts, mugs, key chains, etc., and the satisfaction of know you're promoting a healthy sport, like surfing, and helping the Sierra Madre Rose Float Association (our Luau beneficiary).
If you have not renewed your membership, please download an application below and send it in with your check. Membership dues help finance the luau, and right now the bank account could really use your contribution. You can also order this year's Luau T-shirt when you send in your application, and get a 10% savings. Shirts are $16.95, but when ordered with your membership, you pay just $15.
The Surf Club's main fundraiser each year is its annual Luau, a new Sierra Madre tradition begun in 2000. Due to construction at the Rec. Center, there was no luau in 2004 or 2005.
Now after a two year hiatus, the Sierra Madre Surf Club Luau is back!!
The 2006 Sierra Madre Surf Club Luau is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 26, from 4 - 10pm at the Recreation Center, 611 E. Sierra Madre Blvd. The beneficiary of this year's luau is the Sierra Madre Rose Float Association. We'll have more information about pricing, entertainment and cuisine soon, so check back to this page soon.
