2009 Sierra Madre Rose Float Design Selected by Don Mills

Last Wednesday, Bob Young, Greg Murphy, Charles Meier and Dick Sappington represented the Association at the Tournament’s 2009 Theme Draft.  Dick drew #3 from the fish bowl and we were in excellent position to have our #1 design recommendation approved.   Based on the General Membership and Board votes, “Bollywood Dreams” was presented and accepted by the Tournament. The Tournament’s final written approval will be made in April, we will proceed immediately with float plan development.  We have commenced engine and drive train maintenance already.  “Bollywood Dreams” will be one of the tallest and longest floats we have under taken.   A special thank you to everyone who submitted designs.

At the Thank You Pot Luck Dinner on Jan. 12, 2008, some of the entries in the 2009 Design Contest were on display.  Here's what was on display, though I understand there were some entries that were not there.  You can view them individually or in groups.  The group pictures will take a little longer to download.
