SM Chamber Mixer at Library April 12th
By Bill Coburn The theme for the Mixer was “Resources to Help Grow Your Sierra Madre Business.” Director of Library Services Toni Buckner demonstrated 2 databases that are sponsored by the Friends of the Sierra Madre Library: “Business Decision” and “Reference USA.” Also as part of the evening’s theme, management analyst Veenita Singh demonstrated the City's new "customer service” software, AccessSierraMadre, which is a web-based software designed to help the City improve customer service and increase staff efficiency as they try to meet the needs of the community. Mayor Pro Tem Enid Joffe and Council Member Joe Mosca were joined by Public Works Director Bruce Inman, Elisa Weaver, Deputy Director of Community & Personnel Services, and Alexis Braun, Recreation Coordinator for Community and Personnel Services in representing the City. Mayor Buchanan and Council members Don Watts and Kurt Zimmerman did not attend. PUSD School Board candidate Renata Cooper was also in attendance. Savor the Flavor's owners Denis and Karen Keegan won the business card drawing, the prize being a gift certificate donated by Iris Intrigue.
