Chamber of Commerce Measure U Forum Wednesday, March 12, 2008 Wednesday night’s Measure U forum featured local newspaper columnist Hail Hamilton speaking for the No on U argument, while Mike Comer, a local Sierra Madre businessman who sat on the Ad Hoc Finance Committee that recommended that the City Council raise funds through an initiative, which became Measure U, spoke for the Yes on U argument. Chamber president Ron Brandley acted as moderator for the forum. Depending on the speed of your connection, you may want to press the pause button at the start, and let it download for a few minutes, to keep it from continually stopping to buffer/download throughout the video. Despite the different still images you see below, the two videos are the same, except the top video is .wmv format, and the bottom video is .mpg format, so that Mac users can view it. However, in the conversion process, the audio went slightly out of sync, and you may find that distracting. Since it was a 9.5 hour upload, I won't be re-doing it. If you are using a Mac, and can only view the .mpg, you may want to just listen to the audio, and nott watch the screen, if you find the sync issue too distracting.
