Boy Scout Troop 110 Fundraiser Car Wash Held Saturday Boy Scout Troop 110
(based at St. Rita's) held a fundraiser car wash Saturday at the corner of Montecito and Baldwin, thanks to
the willingness of
and
to let them use the space. This troop contributes a lot to our community. They camp out on the mountain each May so that they can be there to hand out water to racers during the Mt. Wilson Trail Race. They spend the night at the Art Fair and work the days as security, doing whatever tasks are asked of them. They also volunteer at the annual Wistaria Festival. They have been actively involved in the Hike into History during Pioneer Days for several years. And all the while, they are teaching our youth the concept of teamwork, civic responsibility, and a myriad of talents that many kids don't learn without a program such as Scouts.
