a 1984-85 Bradley Scholar and a recipient of the Dean's Scholarship for
Outstanding Service to Southwestern that same year. Following
graduation from Southwestern in 1985, Ms. Berra joined the California
Attorney General's Office, where she became supervising deputy attorney
general for the Appeals, Writs & Trial Division and headed the
Recruitment and Selection function for the Los Angeles office. She later
founded the temporary law placement firm of Berra & Associates.
Throughout her career as an attorney in both the public and corporate
sectors, Berra has been the consummate volunteer. She has served
Southwestern's Alumni Association in many capacities, including a
two-year term as president, and developed many opportunities that
increased alumni involvement. Her leadership was instrumental in
establishing a number of major projects and programs, including the
Alumni Resource Network. The Network brings together more than 340 alumni
who help Southwestern students transition from law school to legal
practice. Ms. Berra also serves as a consultant in Southwestern's Career
Services Office. A woman of many talents, Ms. Berra is a member of
the Screen Actors Guild. She has appeared in several commercials and
television programs and served as a legal technical advisor.
