Music News Update

by Sierra Madre Sue Behrens

Multi-talented musician, artist and cyclist, Ted Knecht is featured with me in this week’s photo.  Some people confuse him with my brother Tom, not so much because they look alike, but because they sometimes play with the same bands, but not at the same time!  Ted fills in on bass for many local bands, but his primary gig is with MAX BUDA, who have a monthly show at CAFÉ 322 in Sierra Madre.  Usually a Wednesday night, this month you can enjoy their eclectic mix of jazzy, bluesy rock ‘n’ roll on Feb. 13th.  Electric violin, keyboards, guitar and drums round out the group.  So come on down, have some dinner and enjoy the show, and don’t forget to wish Ted (a.k.a. Tedroy) a HAPPY 50TH BIRTHDAY!!!

We're going to post links to past Music News columns, not because it makes sense to post outdated calendar items, but just so you can look up the name of the band that played at that place last Thursday that it's driving you crazy that you can't remember.  Actually, we may also add to some of the old columns by creating links at the blurb about an event, if we cover it and have either photos or videos that we've posted for that event.
