Sierra Madre Kiwanis Official Website

Sierra Madre was incorporated in 1907.  Twenty years later, Kiwanis International granted a charter to the Kiwanis Club of Sierra Madre, and it has been serving the community ever since.

While there is no requirement to live in or have a business in Sierra Madre to be a member, the current make-up of the Club is more than 30 Sierra Madre business owners and retired business people.

The Club meets for lunch once a week on Tuesdays.  A song is sung, the Pledge of Allegiance is recited, there is an invocation, and then lunch.

Rep. David Dreier has been a featured speaker.

After lunch, business is conducted, and then most weeks a program of some sort is presented, whether it is a slideshow, a guest speaker, or whatever.  The cost of lunch is $6 for non-members, though the $40 monthly cost includes your lunch and membership is highly encouraged.

Some Upcoming Programs and Special Events

TBA

Funds from dues and the "fines" assessed members for indiscretions are used to pay the administrative costs of the Club.  Money raised at fundraisers goes into a separate account, with 90% returning to the local community via projects which benefit the community for the long term.  The remaining 10% goes to support the Kiwanis International mandatory projects.  In addition to the annual projects   below, there are special projects approved regularly.
