Pioneer Days 1999 Afternoon Tea
The Sierra Madre Historical
Preservation Society sponsored two Saturday afternoon teas, Aug. 16th,
at the 1881 home of Elva and Dick Johnson, 397 W. Montecito Ave..
The was at 1 p.m. and the other at 4 p.m.. Seating was limited and
reservations were required. The price of the tea was $12.00,
and proceeds will benefit the Historical Preservation Society which is
raising money for preservation of the City's historical archives housed
at the Public Library and for further restoration of the Richardson House
and Lizzie's Trail Inn. Tickets were available at Arnold's Hardware
and Best Buy Drugs.
