Press Release posted 7/6/12 – Kids of all ages, join the adventure and excitement as the Franklin Haynes Marionettes bring pirates into the Sierra Madre Public Library on Monday, July 9 at 10 a.m.
Pirate Captain Cannonball kidnaps Princess Rachel and locks her up on Skull Island. To free the Princess, her brother, his trusty pirate dog, and his pirate friends have to get Cannonball to laugh! The pirates juggle, blow bubbles, walk on stilts, and do other pirate mischief. Cannonball finally laughs and Princess Rachel is set free.
The program is part of the Library’s Summer Reading Program and is free to the public. The Princess and the Pirates program is sponsored by the Sierra Madre Firefighter’s Association.
