URGENT MESSAGE: LAST MINUTE VENUE CHANGE FOR “SIERRA MADRE JAPANESE CULTURAL NIGHT”

Sierra Madre Japanese Cultural Night will move its location indoors to the Sierra Madre Room located in Sierra Vista Park, 611 East Sierra Madre Blvd. on Friday, March 25, 2011, from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.

Join us in our newly renovated Sierra Madre Room in Sierra Vista Park for all of our previously planned activities including reasonably priced sushi, ramen noodles, fried rice and dumplings prepared by Happy Cup Ramen Truck.

At 5:30 p.m. the evening’s activities will commence with a Sumo wrestling demonstration by the Centurian Sumo Club. Sports fans will be able to meet Troy Collins, former U.S. National Sumo Wrestling Champion, who will be attending the event.

Sierra Madre Mayor Joe Mosca will formally welcome the event’s special guest, the Honorable Junichi Ihara, Consul General of Japan in Los Angeles. A classical Japanese Taiko drumming performance will follow by the acclaimed Hiroyuki Hayashida Taiko Trio.
