I don’t know that I can agree with you on that. While I will give you that she occasionally injects her opinion into her talks, I think that people you agree with might just do the same, it’s just not a problem for you because you agree with them.
I will say this…If you watch the video of last year’s ceremony, she honored several of the VFW veterans that were there, giving a brief story about each of their service, time served, branch of service and what they’d done. I was grateful that she did. Certainly a speech that honored veterans, even if there may have also been a brief step into political commentary.
If you are asked to give a speech, I hope you will take the opportunity to honor our veterans. But viewing last year’s speech, I can’t agree that she made a “right-wing political commercial instead of a speech honoring our veterans”. Hopefully, and I fully expect this to be the case, she will again honor our veterans this year.
Too bad MacGillivary will turn this into a right-wing political commercial instead of a speech honoring Veterans.
She us unable to speak without injecting her views.
Her pompous ego is what got her tossed out of office and now she will sour this time-honored event with that same behavior again.
