Press Release posted 4/25/12 – Fourteen members of the St. Rita eighth-grade class had a trip to remember over their recent Spring Break. They toured the nation’s capital on a non-stop, 5-day itinerary that incorporated many of the D.C. area memorials with neighboring cities.

The graduating students look forward to the annual trip, which provides them with the opportunity to spend a week together in our nation’s capital. They were accompanied this year by nine chaperones and even caught a baseball game at Camden Yards.

“It was a fantastic time and I was so proud of how attentive and respectful our students were,” said Ellen Hoffman, St. Rita teacher and chaperone. “ It was so exciting to experience places like Gettysburg, Arlington Nat’l Cemetery, the Capitol building, Smithsonian and Mount Vernon with the kids!”
