At Tuesday night’s City Council meeting, Item 4 on the agenda is discussion regarding a preliminary proposal for an assisted living facility at the site of the former Skilled Nursing Facility at 225 – 245 W. Sierra Madre Blvd. The property is just under 2 acres of land and has been vacant for several years.
According to the City Council Agenda Report prepared by staff, Fountain Square Development West (FSDW) is in the preliminary stage of evaluating the location for the construction of an assisted living facility. No plans or proposals have been presented to the City. According to the report, FSDW has suggested that they feel it would be beneficial if they introduced themselves and their proposed project to the public, in the interests of transparency and obtaining public input early in the process.
FSDW will make a presentation at the meeting and request input from the Council and the public. No action will be taken by the Council at this meeting.
