Methodist Hospital’s 16th annual Mardi Gras will be Tuesday, March 8, at Sirona’s, Santa Anita Park.
Proceeds from this year’s gala will support the hospital’s emergency department, which provides critical care to San Gabriel Valley residents 24 hours a day. This fall, the emergency department will move into the new North Tower, where it will be well prepared to meet the community’s critical needs during a disaster or anytime.
Mardi Gras co-chairs Jan McEachern and Cheryl Wolf and their committee began planning the Fat Tuesday celebration months ago to ensure a successful night of festivities.
“Cheryl and I are thrilled with the show of support from our sponsors,” McEachern said. “This year will be a fundraising success, thanks to their generosity.”
This year’s top sponsors include Physician Associates/Healthcare Partners LLP, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Posey, Arcadia Radiology Medical Group, Congress Medical Associates, Drs. Durdana Gilani and Hafeez Khan and Medic-1 Ambulance Service, Inc. With the support of these and many other sponsors, this event will go a long way to support emergency services at Methodist Hospital.
Mardi Gras guests will taste the culinary delights of many restaurants, including Cafe Massilia, Casa del Rey, Green Street Restaurant, Outback Steakhouse, Matt Denny’s, Melting Pot, Restaurant Devon and The Patio.
“What makes this event so unique and enjoyable is the incredible cuisine sponsored by our generous participating restaurants,” Wolf said. “Our guests look forward to the variety of food offered at this event and this year we have a few surprises up our sleeves.”
Long-time Methodist Hospital supporters Dave and Grace Cashion are this year’s honorees. Arcadia residents for more than 37 years, the Cashions have given their time and resources to support the hospital.
