August 5, 2011 – The second week of Friday Night Live featured Mike Tims, formerly of The New Christy Minstrels, performing live in Kersting Court. Theme for the night was outrageous hat night, and Gordon Caldwell of Sierra Madre received a $25 gift certificate from Butterfly Effect Day Spa for his hat.
Shoppers who spend $35 in a retail store or $50 in a restaurant during Friday Night Live (6:30 to 9pm) should bring their receipts to the Chamber booth to be entered in a drawing to win a Sierra Madre shopping and dining spree valued in excess of $500. Friday Night Live is presented each summer by the Sierra Madre Chamber of Commerce and Silver Level Sponsor Athens Services. Music sponsor for the evening was the Mountain Views News. Friday Night Live runs through August 26th, this year.
