New firefighter Michael Rider receives his badge (from his father?) at swearing in ceremony at City Council meeting
At Tuesday night’s Council meeting, Sierra Madre Fire Chief Steve Heydorff introduced eight new members of the Department – Tim Hyde, Zachery Hunt, Justin Mollicone, William Birdo, Jeremy Kunkle, Trevor Williams, Michael Rider, and Ronald Zebarth. All but Zebarth, who was working, were on hand at the meeting. After their introductions, City Clerk Nancy Shollenberger swore them in. The eight firefighters chosen came from a recruiting effort that drew eighty applicants. Enjoy the video of the swearing in ceremony, below.
