Posted 12/9/17 – The Sierra Madre Honors Dinner was held in the Sierra Madre Room Friday, honoring City employees, volunteers and Citizens of the Year De and Pat Alcorn. Recognized for their contributions to the community were Tim Hunsicker, Public Service Employee of the Year; Sierra Madre Police Department Reserve Officers and Volunteers, Public Service Award; Owen Braudrick, Community Youth Service Award; Friends of the Library, Wistaria Award (recognizing a City/Community partnership; Sierra Madsre Civic Club, the Mayor’s Special Award; Arnold Gaffrey of Sierra Madre Search and Rescue, George Maurer Lifetime Service Award; De and Pat Alcorn, Citizens of the Year; Sandy Duvall of Sierra Madre Fitness and The Shabby Dog, etc., Business of the Year; Susan Henderson, Treasure of Sierra Madre Award; and Carol Canterbury, Spirit of the Community Award.
