Posted 12/313/2014 – Judges for the Tournament of Roses Parade stopped by Sierra Vista Park today to see the 2015 edition of the Sierra Madre Rose Float Association’s float, “I Think I Can”. While that’s the official name, many in town are calling the float “Forever Young”, a phrase which adorns the tail end of the caboose at the back of the float, an homage to longtime SMRFA president Robert Young, who passed away in July of this year.
The float is to be dedicated at the barn behind Sierra Vista Park at 4:30pm this afternoon, and shortly thereafter will leave for the Rose Parade, stopping in Kersting Court for a brief period probably around 5pm(ish). Better to be early, than late.
