The Sierra Madre Historical Preservation Society has, through the years, interviewed nearly 150 Sierra Madreans as part of their Oral History project. Recently, in a departure from previous interviews, Bud Switzer interviewed a woman who is still making history, Sharon Pevsner, who has won the Woman’s Division of the Mt. Wilson Trail Race five times. Sharon discusses the Trail Race, as well as other races she’s participated in, including the LA, Pasadena, Boston and Catalina marathons. I spoke with Sharon tonight, and she’s feeling under the weather, so she may not end up running tomorrow. We’ll see. Feel better Sharon.
