Posted 11/30/14 – Sierra Madre Chamber of Commerce sponsored the Winter Village Festival for 2014 yesterday on Small Business Saturday. Formerly known as the Holiday Open House, Dickens Village and Whoville, Winter Village Festival was the 2014 iteration of the day long event, featuring live entertainment, non-profit fund raising booths, small town local shopping, horse and buggy rides, snow sledding, and an appearance by Santa himself. This year’s event had a little extra excitement, as Santa and the Sierra Madre Rose Float princesses (Santa’s helpers) were being transported to Kersting Court, an emergency call came in and Santa and the princesses had to hurry off the engine so that it could respond to the emergency!
