Posted 10/4/14 – Multiple sources are reporting that the employees of the Albertson’s at Michillinda and Sierra Madre Blvd. were told yesterday that their store will be closing in the first week of November. According to one source, the investment company that acquired the chain, Cerberus Capital Management, has decided that the store is no longer a good investment. Rumored closing date is either Nov. 6th or 7th. We are told that as employees are union employees, they are to be offered employment within the company within 25 miles of their home. Note – we have not confirmed this information with the company. It’s what we are hearing.

I heard at the store today that dairy, meat, etc will be gone in a week and people will not want to shop there at that point. That was from an employee to customer.
