ZERO TOLERANCE ON FIREWORKS – Remember! There is a ZERO TOLERANCE policy for any fire works within Sierra Madre. Fireworks of ANY TYPE are not allowed in Sierra Madre. Additional Officers, both plain clothes and in uniform will be patrolling the City for firework violations starting on Monday June 30th.
Fines for possession and\or use of fireworks are from $250 to $1000. You can also be subject to arrest depending on the violation.
If you purchase Safe and Sane Fireworks in another City, where it is legal to do so, please do not transport them through or bring them into the City of Sierra Madre.
Due to the extremely high fire dangers this year high viewing areas such as 1 Carter, Santa Anita Canyon Road, North Auburn by the reservoir, etc. will be closed to the public.
Please note that the gate to Chantry Flats will close at 6pm on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, July 3rd through 6th.

Overnight Parking Restrictions Lifted for Holiday Weekend – Over-night parking restrictions have been lifted from Wednesday, July 2nd through Sunday, July 6th to allow you and your family to better enjoy your holiday weekend! Sierra Madre Police Department would like to wish you all a safe Fourth of July! (Editor’s Note – there will be some no parking zones in areas where you can usually park on Friday morning, see map at left)
