Posted 8/3/13 – The second Sierra Madre Art Walk (SMArt Walk) took place last night, and it sure seemed like there were more people downtown than usual. Lots of merchants stayed open late, offered refreshments, displayed art by local artists, and allowed local artists to display/sell their work out on the sidewalk in front of their shops. Creative Arts Group opened their gallery late, and their drum class, which was in session last night, formed a drum circle in their driveway which added to the party atmosphere downtown. There were other musical artists performing downtown, too, with a live band performing on the deck at the Prudential Building (see video). There was even a “pop-up” gallery, with the former “Once Upon A Time” store location opening up for the night and displaying work by several local artists. Enjoy the video and the photo gallery.
