Posted 6/15/13 – As with most families, there is a good bit of teasing that goes on between my siblings, no matter how old we get. And with Tom (aka Billy Booger) being the oldest, we have all taken our share from him, so whenever we get a chance to dish it right back, we take it! You’ve probably heard him rag on the Grateful Dead and their fans, but I happen to know that he has a closet-full of their albums! And he really likes to bad-mouth the Eagles and insists that the bands he plays in will never play their songs, but we know that’s not true, and oh yeah – my very first concert outing ever was Jackson Browne, Linda Ronstadt & the Eagles at Anaheim Stadium in 1975 or ’76, and guess who I went with – my brother Tom, sister Ellen and all their friends…. hmmm… now what’s this I have just come to find out? he’s going to see Barry Manilow at the Greek Theatre this weekend?!?!? and he thinks we don’t know about it! HA!! Now THAT’s funny! I guess that’s what happens when you turn 60…. Somebody please shoot me if I ever give up the Dead and the Eagles in favor of Manilow!
