On Thursday, April 28, 2011, at approximately 5:35 p.m., Victim Dean Ron Albert, M W /53 55, was shot and killed by Suspect Kevin Wolfe Pochter on the Big Santa Anita Canyon Road, approximately one mile south of the Chantry Flats Campground in the unincorporated area of Sierra Madre.
The suspect was last seen hiking in the San Gabriel Mountains above Arcadia and Monrovia on Saturday evening, April 30, 2011. The suspect is considered an experienced hiker. Suspect Pochter should be considered ARMED & DANGEROUS.
