Posted 5/23/13 – On May 1st, nearly nine years after Peppertree Grill had a Chamber Mixer in preparation for a grand opening at its new location at 322 W. Sierra Madre Blvd., Peppertree Grill returned to 322 West with a Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate its Grand Re-Opening. Ryan Lopez, son of George and Consuela Lopez, has re-opened the restaurant once owned and run by his parents, first on Baldwin Ave. and then at the Sierra Madre Blvd.
It was like old home week, with many of the old Peppertree Grill regulars in attendance, enjoying empanadas and chicken bowls, two of the items for which the old Peppertree Grill was known, among other things. In the interim, the restaurant has been the location of Cafe 322, a popular jazz club, and the short lived T Boyles Tavern. Towards the end of the evening, Ryan and Consuela teamed up on several drawings with lucky winners receiving bottles of wine, glasses, gift certificates to Peppertree Grill and other locations, and spa treatments, among other things.
