Posted 5/7/13 – The US Postal Service will hold its annual Letter Carriers Food Drive this Saturday, and all are invited to participate by leaving their non-perishable food items in a bag by their mailbox. USPS employees will then return them to the Post Office, where they will be packed up and transported to the Foothill Unity Center for distribution to those in need. The Foothill Unity Center is looking for volunteers to assist with sorting the food at the Post Office, loading it onto the Unity Center trucks, and unloading at the Monrovia warehouse. Volunteers are needed not only at the Monrovia warehouse and the Sierra Madre Post Office, but also at the Altadena, Duarte, Monrovia, Pasadena and San Marino Post Offices.
