Posted 4/9/13 – Just spoke (4:02 am) with SMPD watch commander Sgt. Esther Doyle, and she reports that Sierra Madre made it through the winds relatively unscathed. She says that while there is minor debris in the streets and the light of day will give us a better idea what the total damage from the wind is, at this point, all streets are driveable and there are no reports of any serious damage. Power outages were for the most part relatively short lived, with power returning shortly after going down. She said that power had been out on Liliano, but Edison was on Grand View fixing that. So it appears we’ve made it through the wind with nothing more than minor inconveniences this time…
