At 4:30pm, an officer initiated a vehicle stop for an equipment violation in the area of Grandview Avenue and Jameson Court. During an interview of the driver, the officer was able to detect the odor of burnt marijuana coming from the interior of the vehicle. During a subsequent search of the vehicle, the officer found 9mm ammunition in the center console. Further investigation revealed that the driver (male 30 years of age) was a felon, having been convicted for burglary in 2003. As a convicted felon, the individual was prohibited from possessing firearms or ammunition. The driver was arrested for 30305a P.C. (Convicted Felon in Possession of Ammunition).
