Today’s election, which, for Sierra Madreans, has only one item on it, a runoff between incumbent Tom Selinske and challenger Sean Baggett for a seat on the PUSD Board of Education, is not drawing many voters. When I stopped by the polling place at Congregational Church (the building that should be being used for store fronts but is being used by the Church for meeting rooms), at a little before 2pm, I was told that only 30 people had voted as of then. When you consider that there are more than 7,800 registered voters in this town, that’s a pretty ridiculous turnout.
Did you vote yet?
