At 2am, an officer observed a vehicle with no evidence of current registration travelling south on Baldwin Avenue from Sierra Madre Boulevard. After initiating a traffic stop, the officer determined that the driver had been drinking. The driver failed the field sobriety tests and was subsequently arrested for DUI.

At 3am, an officer observed a vehicle with no evidence of current registration travelling on Baldwin Avenue. After initiating a traffic stop, the officer determined the driver was in possession of a counterfeit driver’s license, identification card and social security card. The driver admitted that he bought the fraudulent items from an unknown person in MacArthur Park a year ago. The driver (male 31 years of age) was arrested for Forgery of an Official Government Seal.

A resident in the 300 Block of East Grandview Avenue observed a suspicious individual loitering in a truck. The resident was aware that a burglary had occurred in this area a week prior and notified police. With the assistance of the resident, the police stopped this vehicle as it travelled south on Baldwin Avenue at Orange Grove Avenue. It was determined that the driver had an extensive criminal history and gave conflicting versions of what he was doing in the neighborhood. The driver (male 36 years of age) was subsequently arrested for Possession of Burglary Tools. Additional investigation is underway to determine if this individual may be responsible for recent property crimes in the City.
